Why is the online booking fee not included in the headline price when it is first displayed online?

We aim to be transparent with the display of our prices in all circumstances. The £2.25 Remote Booking Fee is per transaction, not per ticket, which is why it’s not included in the initial ticket price. However, the fee is clearly displayed throughout the booking process, and the final cost including the booking fee will be shown before purchase.
